1. GTA Vice City
Atmosphere, when expertly crafted, can allow an amazing game to transcend into something completely off the charts and unforgettable. Vice City opts to essentially recreate Brian De Palmas Scarface in the setting of GTA and video games. You just cannot top cruising around faux Miami surrounded by beaches and neon pink lights as a vicious drug lord whom is voiced by none other than Ray Liotta, the man synonymous with Martin Scorceses Goodfellas. The soundtrack is the biggest component, however, in fully realising that unbelievably rich 80s atmosphere, as you drive around to everything ranging from power ballads to heavy metal to Michael Jackson. Its actually dumbfounding that Rockstar hasnt returned to Vice City yet, considering not even Los Santos in GTA V can hold a candle to it. Heres hoping that GTA VI is an unforgettable masterpiece that returns to the majestic and hallucinogenic setting of Vice City. Do you like this numerical ranking or hate it? Let us know below!
