6. Waka-Gashira Wipeout! - GTA III

This is almost like an anti-mission, considering the subject matter, but it's one of the coolest ideas in GTA history that as far as I know, Rockstar never repeated.

So, in GTA III, after you arrive on Staunton Island, you'll be accepting missions from a number of handlers including brother/sister combo Kenji and Asuka Kasen, plus business mogle, Donald Love. The former pair's missions are enjoyable enough, but in a brilliant twist, if you pursue Love's quests to the end, his final ask involves killing Kenji on top of a multi-storey car park.

Doing this wipes out Kenji's remaining missions and kinda breaks the game if you were going for 100% completion, but if you were getting annoyed with any of Kenji's goals, just take him out and move along instead.
