GTA 6: 8 Confirmed Details You Need To Know
2. Live Service Elements (And DLC Cities)
GTA Online is never going away. The service has made far too much money for it to be suddenly dropped in GTA VI, but what's interesting is that the multiplayer suite's ever-evolving nature is seemingly being applied to the single-player campaign of the next game.
The Bloomberg report noted that while GTA VI will only feature the one city rather than the initially conceived three, Rockstar has plans to add more to the game over time. This was backed up by Tom Henderson too, who explained that he heard from sources that the map would be ever evolving.
This expansion will hopefully make GTA VI the most ambitious instalment yet, and serve as a way for the developers to realise their initial vision for the title over a longer period of time.
It's unclear whether this live-service style sandbox is part of the sequel's multiplayer or single-player component, but here's hoping that it's both. For as great as GTA V was, it was a major disappointment that the single-player experience received no substantial new content post-launch. Online shark cards might bring in the money, but it would be a travesty for Rockstar to once again neglect this part of the game.
