GTA Online: 10 Reasons It Was A Huge Disappointment
8. Repetitive Missions
One of the most apparent, fundamental problems with GTA Online is that the missions are really, really repetitive. Sure, it's a great novelty for the first few hours of play, racing against other players, robbing convenience stores and stealing drugs, but after that initial glow has worn off, it just becomes incredibly boring. How many times can I really want to rip off a drug dealer and cart the money across town? Given how Rockstar had boasted that the online would feature hundreds upon hundreds of missions, we expected a little overlap, but not this copy-and-paste mission line-up. Not every mission needs to be an epic scripted event like we'd see in the single player, but just a little more effort and creativity would have gone a long way. Did Rockstar really think they would keep millions of players with such a limited number of things to do?
