GTA Online Leaked Heist Footage: 8 Things We Learned

1. It's Basically A Fetch Quest

I'm mostly reserving my judgement of heist mode until Rockstar release it officially, but from what we've seen so far, I'm a tad underwhelmed. It looks fun, sure, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to it, or at least not much to this particular heist. One might have expected Rockstar to be beta-testing one of the more complex heist missions rather than what is essentially a pretty generic fetch quest: kill the cops, steal the object, get away with it. This isn't all that dissimilar from what we've dealt with in online missions so far, so hopefully the final take will have a little more to it, or I think we're all going to be a little disappointed. Considering how many months we've been waiting for heists, and how much of a letdown GTA:O has been on the whole, Rockstar really need to make they nail this when they finally release them. Again, I reiterate that this is all information obtained from a build of the heist mode that Rockstar did not expect the public to ever be able to access, so the final product could be radically different (especially considering Rockstar haven't even announced a date for heists yet). If I hear any more on the legitimacy of this hack, I will be sure to update the post, and we'll surely all know for ourselves soon enough. How are you feeling about the impending heists update? Excited? Skeptical? Annoyed? Let me know in the comments!
