GTA Trilogy Remake: 10 Missions We Can't Wait To Play (& 10 We're DREADING)

16. Can't Wait: Breaking The Bank At Caligula's - GTA: San Andreas

While Grand Theft Auto V gets a lot of praise for its epic heist missions, what a lot of people tend to forget is the original trilogy did epic heists nearly as well as the newest game in the series did.

Breaking the Bank is a all about CJ breaking into the Four Dragons casino, with the aim of raiding its bank vaults. It's the culmination of multiple missions of preparation where you'll be stealing gas tanks, recruiting new members to help you out, planting bombs at a dam to knock out the casino's power and planning a heist worthy of Ocean's Eleven (which it's believed the mission is inspired by).

The mission itself is every bit as fun as its concept. Carl must infiltrate the casino disguised as a member of staff before Zero, his colleague, gases some guards. Carl must then force open a shutter using a forklift to let in the rest of the team and, under the guise of darkness using nightvision, you and the team must gun down Salvatore Leone's mafia goons, get to the vault in seven minutes, and steal all the cash inside.

The team manages to escape with Carl's help in the same car they got in, but Carl's escape route isn't so easy. Instead he must traverse the rooftops, dodge a helicopter, grab a parachute and ideally land on another roof to steal a helicopter from the SWAT teams to escape (if you don't land on the rooftop, you can flee on foot instead).

Again by modern standards this a tricky mission that will test your gunfighting skills, but the scale of the mission and all the prep that goes into it makes it one of San Andreas' very best.
