By now the astute readers of this article will have spotted that when it comes to sheer psychotic malignancy, your author favours the understated, the less than obvious, the underlying tension of imminent unconstrained explosive violence above the exaggerated and comic bodybuilder types parading their grinning Mr. Universe postures. Give me the antithetical antagonist, the paradoxical punk, give me the bespectacled bandit, give me Bricktop.

Speaking to some of my American friends it seems that the classic 'Snatch' hasn't been seen in the states by the audience it deserved (i.e. everyone). If you want to know what a Brit Gangster is like, watch it. And watch Alan Ford completely over-shadow the likes of Brad Pitt, Jason Strathem and Vinnie Jones.
