8. Brucie Kibbutz, Niko Bellic References
As well as references to San Andreas characters, there's also a nod to Niko Bellic and Brucie Kibbutz from Grand Theft Auto IV. If you hop online and surf the web, go to "Bleeper", GTA V's spoof of Twitter, where you will find an account for Brucie, the larger-than-life character also found in the expansion pack The Ballad of Gay Tony. Perhaps even more intriguingly, there's also a quick reference to Niko in one of the earlier missions. The hero of GTA 4 is mentioned during the first heist, described as an Eastern-European that was making a name for himself back in Liberty City, but that things "went quiet", indicating he got out of the business and is living peacefully.
