8. Father/Son
A mission we knew about a long time ago is Father/Son, as it was featured in early trailers for GTA V, and made it clear that the game certainly didn't want for craziness. Michael is called up by his son Jimmy in a panic, informing him that some gangsters have boosted his prized boat...with him onboard. Michael enlists Franklin to help him catch up to the boat, at which point Franklin leaps onto it and starts battling the gangsters. In the commotion, Jimmy manages to crawl along the mast and, with some meticulous driving skill, Michael catches him as he falls. Franklin returns to the car, though the gangsters regrettably make off with the boat, much to Michael's annoyance. What this mission makes clear above all else is the fluidity of the game's scripted sequences; though we can see how it's working, Rockstar have massaged it so well into the general gameplay that we don't care.
