3. Body Dismemberment and Gore

The GTA franchise seems to have fluctuated in recent iterations between where exactly the line in the sand is drawn when it comes to gore. In Grand Theft Auto 3, the first in the long running series to feature 3D graphics, we could blow peoples limbs off. Then in its successor, Vice City, we couldnt - but we could attack people with chainsaws and watch as cubed pieces of flesh flew out from their torsos. Next, in 2004s San Andreas, we couldnt sever peoples limbs, but we could decapitate them. 2008s GTA IV? No gore at all - aside from pools of blood. After GTA IV came three spin off titles, The Lost and Damned, Chinatown Wars and The Ballad of Gay Tony. Gore featured in only one of these spin off titles, and that was the second Chinatown Wars - which allowed us to cut people in half with chainsaws, a level of gore completely new to the franchise. In GTA V, I think Rockstar should go all out with gore. I want to be able to blow pedestrians extremities off. I want to be able to sever someones head with a katana, damn it, i want to be able too... Okay, time for my medication...
