GTA V: 20 Reasons Why You Should Be Excited

11. Innovations

Rockstar in general are one of those developer/publishers that are so established in the marketplace that they can afford to take risks on innovation. And by god, that€™s why we love €˜em. How about Dead Eye from Red Dead? A system that allowed you to take out 5 guys practically at once and watch them hit the ground together as if you were Clint Eastwood in A Fistful Of Dollars. Or the yes/no/maybe system that drove L.A Noire €“ such a simple premise, it€™s amazing it hadn€™t been done before. But it hadn€™t. The entire city-sandbox concept of GTA in itself was one of Rockstar€™s early innovations although it€™s been duplicated and bastardised so many times by inferior companies that it€™d be quite easy to forget that. So what innovations can we expect from GTA V? Well, we€™re not exactly sure yet €“ Rockstar are firmly adhering to the €˜loose lips sink ships€™ policy - but you can bet you€™re ill-gotten bottom dollar that we€™re as excited as Roman is about American titties to find out. Whether it€™s in gameplay mechanics, in technology or even in story (remember the finale of Red Dead Redemption? It might just be the most innovative video game ending I€™ve ever witnessed), you can be all but certain that Rockstar are looking for new and exciting ways to make GTA V a palpable improvement on it's predecessor.
