2. Gang Warfare
With Grand Theft Auto V returning us to the ghetto areas of Los Santos, and even featuring Grove St., we were somewhat dismayed that gang warfare was omitted from the game. Gang warfare was a feature which allowed protagonist Carl Johnson to attack and "take over" certain parts of the map in San Andreas, ridding the streets of the Ballas and Los Santos Vagos in the process. In doing so, San Andreas became a safer place for CJ, because upon taking over an area, the Grove St. Family would occupy it, meaning he would no longer be attacked on sight by an enemy. As part and parcel of gang warfare, the player could recruit "homies" who would follow CJ, get in his vehicles, and attack enemies on his behalf. Gamers could also "tag" territory with graffiti. We'd love all this to return as part of a DLC package, especially given the prevalence of gangs in GTA V, and the fact Grove St. is currently under the control of the hated Ballas. Rumours purport
CJ will make an appearance in future DLC whereby the player helps him retake control of his former turf. Perhaps "retake Grove St." will be the final side-mission in a series of gang wars that sees the player reassert the Grove St. Family's power across San Andreas?
