GTA V: 5 Mini-Games That Should Not Return

4. Horse Racing (GTA: San Andreas)

San-Andreas San Andreas was one of the first GTA to fully integrate a number a mini-games for the player to participate in. The ability to bet on horses seemed to be a great addition as it would provide the added thrill of real life betting without the real life costs. However, Rockstar€™s implementation of the mini-game potentially led to one of the easiest ways to accumulate money. With the races being automated, if the player spent enough time playing, patterns would emerge from the race results, ultimately allowing millions to be made in a relatively short space of time. The limitations of the previous-gen hardware are to blame. While the limitations of previous-gen hardware meant that the mini-game€™s inclusion was placed in an arcade style booth, the Xbox 360 could potentially handle the introduction of a full racecourse where the player would travel too, bet and actually watch live racing rather than the retro feel of the San Andreas version. It would probably seem a stretch to expect Rockstar to include it, most notably due to memory constraints, but the potential may be there. One thing is for sure, Horse Racing in its San Andreas form should not return.
