2. Open Access To Terrain

It seems as though Grand Theft Auto V is all about "firsts" and for the first time in the series, gamers can now wantonly explore the vast open world of San Andreas without having to worry about completing missions and closed, restricted areas due to a dubiously convenient "tropical storm" (ahem). Long-term fans of the series will know the GTA games are usually divided into three islands, each of which have to be unlocked through mission completion and are blocked via a series of closed bridges and guarded by police and a six-star wanted level. That however is now a thing of the past, as gamers can explore every inch of San Andreas at their own leisure, regardless of progress made in the storymode. This provides for a much more flexible gaming experience - some people are more concerned with exploring than story missions, and now, those needs have been catered for, which is a positive and exciting step in the franchise.
