4. New Weather Types
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe lightning storms are a new weather type to the Grand Theft Auto series. Sure, we've had rain in past titles, and glorious sunshine, but we've never had fierce thunder and lightning booming in the clouds and lighting up the streets below. Furthermore, going off the above image, it looks as though the sea's tides are a lot more sinister, we can definitely imagine a poor swimmer getting swept out in a rip tide or an unfortunate fishing vessal ending up moored on the rocks in an ocean as aggressive as the one above. It certainly looks as though Rockstar have taken a much moodier approach with GTA V and those purple skies and dangerous oceans could act as the perfect backdrop for a dramatic mission or narrative.
