GTA V: 5 Ways Animals Will Improve The Grand Theft Auto Experience

4. It Will Make Exploring More Worthwhile

gtamountain2 Back in 2004, the last time Rockstar Games took us to San Andreas, there were all kinds of crazy rumours surrounding the Back-o-Beyond forested areas of the game. Fans flocked onto internet forums writing that they had seen "something mysterious, a Big Foot-type Yeti creature" ambling around in the darkness. Gamers in their thousands then booted up the game to see if they too could catch a glimpse of the elusive Yeti, who was said to only feature in the game on "ultra-rare occasions". The hype was so massive that Rockstar themselves had to release the following statement:
"There is no Bigfoot, just like in real life."
That then made venturing into Back-o-Beyond and the forests pointless because we knew there was nothing there - there was no point exploring anymore. As such, the world of San Andreas became two-dimensional with mindless pedestrians aimlessly plodding along the streets of the suburbs and equally no life in the wilderness. But this time there is life in the forests. Sure, there's no Sasquatch to hunt down, but there are mountain lions, bears and other animals who can cause you equal amounts of trouble. Venturing into the woods in GTA V is going to be a risky pastime, and, thanks to animals, an exciting one.
