Michael B. Jordan As Franklin Clinton
Casting Franklin was probably the hardest of the three main characters. Whoever plays him needs to be young. confident, giving off a sense of ambition yet vulnerability. To play Franklin, I've gone for one of the best up and coming actors around at the moment, Michael B. Jordan. Jordan's profile began to increase with his small role on HBO's The Wire as 16 year-old Wallace, but has since gone on to star in movies like Red Tails, Chronicle and is fantastic in Fruitvale Station. He has even been rumoured for a part in Star Wars Episode VII as well as playing The Human Torch in the Fantastic Four reboot. Jordan no doubt has the acting chops to pull off the role of Franklin, he's the right age and he has shown he can lead a film with his excellent turn in the often underrated 'Chronicle'. His experience with shows like The Wire means he will be able to bring in the emotional pull, but handle the more action heavy and intense scenes that would come with a potential Grand Theft Auto movie.
FOR A DIFFERENT TAKE:...Samuel L. Jackson. Are you going to be the one to tell him hes too old to play Franklin? Thought not."
