10. An Apocalyptic Event Is Threatening Los Santos

Unlike the previously released heists so far, the upcoming DLC looks to be more story-focused than ever before. The whole crux of the add-on is built around the threat of an apocalyptic event about to tear apart Los Santos, with the IAA, Lester and, for some reason, your GTA Online thugs banding together to put a stop to whatever plan is brewing.

It seems completely disconnected to anything else in the GTA franchise, aimed squarely at telling a winding tale full of conspiracies, espionage, and potentially North Korea kickstarting a nuclear holocaust.

That's why it's so interesting though, as the previous heists were all about robbing banks and working purely in service of your own greed, but here the story is more ambitious, focused on a potential world-ending plot that reflects real-world anxieties and fears.

It all sounds juicy, and it's unlike anything else in GTA Online.
