4. Driveable Trains?
In GTA V's reveal trailer, there a few subtle locomotive references - again, blink and you'll miss 'em. However, in trailer 2, trains feature much more heavily. As I mentioned, R* tend to fill their trailers with subtle gameplay hints, so this leads me to wonder, will we actually be able to drive trains again in GTA V? Given the size of the map (which we're informed is easily the largest map ever seen in GTA game) I'm inclined to think 'very possibly'. I mean, anyone who's traversed the full map in the likes of Red Dead Redemption on horseback will tell you that it takes quite a long while. Given that GTA V's map is even bigger than that from Red Dead Redemption, I'd say the quickest way to travel from one end to the other would be to hijack a train, ignore all stations and just hit full-steam ahead. Whether we'll be able to commandeer trains or not is still in question, however, with the heavy emphasis R* have placed on them in trailer, they'll most certainly return to play a part and if you ask me (looking at Trevor's death defying leap from the train crash at the end of trailer 2), quite an important part at that.
