GTA VI: 10 Mission Types That Need To Die

7. 'Unruly Winches'

As part of Grand Theft Auto's realistic driving and transport simulation, players get the chance to take the wheel of all sorts of industrial and agricultural vehicles. Part of the detailed appeal of the games lies in the fact that, not only do players get to drive vehicles like fire trucks, but they can also operate their unique additions like the water hose. And we all know how fun it is to blast pedestrians with that thing. When this becomes less entertaining, however, is where players are tasked with transporting and delivering some item with the use of a vehicle's winch or tow cable. Thinking specifically of some of the helicopter missions in GTA V, these things are tremendously difficult to control with any accuracy. Their unruly nature makes it a "more luck than judgement" type of chance mission; you could easily waste absurd amounts of time swinging the thing around beneath you in the hopes it will eventually latch onto your target. The frustration doesn't stop once the item has been attached either, and directing it into the designated drop-point can be just as difficult to achieve. These missions in their current form need to die, but if the mechanics of winches and tow cables could be fixed then they could become a more welcome addition in future instalments.
