GTA VI: 10 Things It Must Learn From V

6. Make Women Matter In The World - A Female Protagonist?

Rockstar have never been too good at depicting females in their games, which if you're defending them could be some abstract comment on all the misogynistic themes prevalent in many real world movies, advertising campaigns and video games. However it's most likely not the case, and when the only memorable females in GTA V are either Michael's wife (who's best appearance is Trevor's comment on her fake boobs) or whatsername you can hire to help out on any given heist - it's pretty pathetic. More people remember mowing down prostitutes in GTA III or taking Maria to various spots than they do partnering with Catalina on one of the most frustrating GTA missions of all time in San Andreas, and the fact Maria's constant chatter amounts to her getting shot off-camera at the close of the former game is comment enough (if you want to take it that way) on how little women matter to the GTA experience, A female protagonist would be the easiest go-to as it'd be the biggest narrative shakeup possible, but things like following a relationship between two characters or having a female mainstay play a major role as a mission-giver would be great too.
