5. Multiple Protagonists
When Rockstar announced prior to the release of GTA V that, for the first time ever in the franchise, there would be multiple protagonists, fans reacted with hesitance and suspicion. Why, after all, change a winning formula? Claude, Tommy Vercetti, CJ, Niko Bellic - down the years, GTA has stuck to just the one principle protagonist and it has worked. However, after playing GTA V, it's fair to say the multiple protagonist feature worked well, and lent more replay value to a game that can sometimes grow stale and repetitive. Maxing up each character's stats and using their unique special abilities freshened up the series, while the feature of 'switching' helped us traverse the map a lot quicker and more effectively. We'd be disappointed if Rockstar abandoned the multiple protagonist feature after just one game, and would like to see it repeated in the future.
