Guild Wars 2 Might be Coming to Consoles

Beta testing for the sequel is due sometime in March or April.

Guild Wars 2 is one of the most anticipated MMOs' being released this year, now console owners may have an extra reason to be excited as well. At a financial conference call NCsoft answered a question about whether or not a console version of the game was in the works and here is what the NCsoft representative said:

"When it comes to Guild Wars 2 as we have announced already, we are in the preparation stage. Realistically speaking I don't think it would be likely that we will be launching the console version together,"
A release date for Guild Wars 2 has not been announced as of yet and according to reports it will depend on the beta testing for the game that is due out sometime in March or April. For those who don't know one of the biggest selling points for Guilds War 2 is that it is a MMO with no monthly subscription. In addition, NCsoft is building the game as a revitalization of the MMO genre, with new quest designs and improved story telling in the game. As of right now NCsoft has released no other details pertaining to the console versions of the game. I would expect NCsoft won't say much until the PC version of the game is released.
