Half-Life 3 To Be Vive & Steam Machine Exclusive?!

Shenmue 3, Fallout 4, Final Fantasy VII's remake - 2015 is pulling out ALL the stops.

2015 is definitely a year for the history books, as not only have we seen gameplay footage of Final Fantasy VII's remake in-motion, but just in time for Christmas, Steam's database website has updated itself with a new list, including none-other than Half-Life 3. Valve's hotly-anticipated followup to the cliffhanger-ending of Episode 2 has been become a near-mythical project at this point, with various interviews, art assets and tweets alluding to nothing more than hearsay and rumours. Now, it must be clarified, an official post on the SteamDB site mentions "Half-Life 3 still not confirmed", and it's backed up with the following information too:
"While this information comes straight from Valve, and many similar types of leak turned out to be real in the past, it is important to remember that third-party Steam developers can create and name their own apps/packages""Many things could also be old entries and as such no longer be in development/coming to Steam. An example of a previous leak that ended up being nothing (yet) is Halo 3."
With all that said, just think where Valve are as a company right now. They've got all manner of Steam Machines available with a ton of potential residing within their hefty hardware specs - and they've got the Vive VR headset that needs to go toe-to-toe with both the Oculus Rift and Sony's PlayStation VR. Having Half-Life 3 drop right now (or soon), with full virtual reality support would really offer one hell of a reason to invest in both the console and the headset. Look to Valve for another statement before Christmas, as the snowball of hype is already building some considerable speed. Do you believe this latest tidbit of info? Let us know in the comments!
