Halo Infinite: 10 Promising Rumours You Must Hear
3. Forge Is Getting Massive Improvements
343 have confirmed that the popular multiplayer map editor, Forge, will be in Halo Infinite, and feature big improvements. Even better, there has been a report that suggests 343 are downplaying the improvements, and that Forge is going to to be "MASSIVELY expanded on".
In response to the Battle Royale rumours (that 343 have since shut down), the leaker said that with the new forge overhaul “if players would want to see a Halo Battle Royale mode, players could just create it.”
If this is true, Infinite would really be living up to its name with the endless possibilities a good content creator could...well, create. Players of Little Big Planet and Dreams have made some jaw-dropping creations when given the right tools, so it would be interesting to see what Halo players could do if they got their hands on a system like that within Infinite.
It's worth noting that this leaker is highly regarded in the Xbox community, so there is a good chance this is more than a rumour.
If Halo Infinite launched with a campaign, multiplayer, and a highly customisable Forge system that could create new game modes, we can definitely see why Infinite needed that extra year and rumoured $500 million in development costs. That would be a lot of bang for our buck!
