HBO's The Last Of Us - 5 PERFECT Actors For Joel & Ellie

Another HBO alum, Justin Theroux is hardly ever on anyone's radar, which is a real shame.

He starred in HBO's INCREDIBLE series, The Leftovers, had a cameo in The Last Jedi and Joker, voiced Tramp in the Lady and the Tramp remake and wrote the Oscar-nominated Tropic Thunder, as well as the sequel to Iron Man (which he also produced).

With all that, it'd be a real treat to FINALLY see him get some well-deserved recognition and fanfare. What better way to do that than to see him as everyone's favorite grizzled smuggler, Joel?

We know he can do it. Kevin Garvey from The Leftovers was BASICALLY Joel, minus the global pandemic. He was Joel, just with a flicker of hope still in his heart. Playing a man who saw the world abruptly plunged into a new dynamic - a paradigm shift that came at the cost of millions of lives - this was someone who was world-weary and skeptical, living in a world where everyone was trying their best to rebuild.

If that isn't Joel, what is?

For what it's worth, Theroux wouldn't make a bad Wolverine, either. But that's another list for another day.
