7. Abby Cameo
I'm fully aware of being very isolated in holding this sentiment but Abby is my favourite character in the franchise so a cameo from her in the first season of HBO's The Last of Us would be a great tease for a potential season two.
Whilst Abby wasn't introduced until The Last of Us Part II, she certainly does exist within the timeline of the first game. Through flashbacks in The Last of Us Part II, we learn that Abby and her dad Jerry were both present at and intrinsically linked to Joel and Ellie's experiences at the Firefly hospital in Salt Lake City.
The first season shouldn't detract from Ellie and Joel's tale so the cameo need only be small. We can assume Jerry will feature in the first season as Joel kills him in the surgery suite to save Ellie.
With that being said, it's not out of the realm of possibility for a small scene beforehand of Abby chatting to her dad before the surgery, or walking past Joel in a corridor. This one's hugely dependent on whether the casting teams have begun their search for Abby.
