HBO's The Last Of Us: 9 Scenes We Want To See

6. Ellie / Henry - Sewer Scene

In the game, we're largely limited to experiencing things from Joel's point of view. It's only when he's injured and unconscious that we briefly switch to Ellie's point of view.

This kind of constraint is no longer an issue when it comes to television so we can and should expect to switch between locations and characters frequently in HBO's version of The Last of Us.

Partway through the game, Ellie and Joel join up with allies Henry and Sam. In order to make it to a nearby radio tower, the group have to travel through a sewerage system which is (of course) full of Infected. Ellie is split up from Joel and travels with Henry, whilst Sam is left with Joel.

We see Ellie and Henry being chased by Infected but we don't experience their journey through the sewers as we do with Joel and Sam. We can presume it's much of the same - Clickers and Runners galore - but crosscutting between the two could provide for a enjoyably tense sequence in the show. It would also allow us to see more of how Ellie handles herself without Joel around.
