Hitman Absolution: 10 Reasons It Sucks

7. Can't Close Doors/Turn Off Lights

Hitman: Absolution also cuts down on the choice in other aspects, and as is becoming a common theme, it results in gameplay that really doesn't make all that much sense. Say you subdue an NPC and drag him away out of plain sight, aiming to hide him in a toilet cubicle, or really, any other location that requires going through a door. You are able to open the door and dump the body in, but there is no option for closing the door to keep the body hidden from any enemies who might walk in. Given how the game is meant to be about the finer details and the finesse of being a contract killer, denying the player the ability to do such simple things as close a door and even turn off a light seems absurd. It's all the more stupid given that you could do this in the previous games, so why remove such a basic gameplay element?
