Horizon Zero Dawn: 10 Things A Prequel/Sequel Must Address

7. GAIA's First Attempt At Recreating Life On Earth

GAIA was created with a "kill-switch" - a function called HADES, which allowed her to renew her efforts in restoring life on the machine-destroyed Earth when it didn't live up to her expectations.

The creators knew that she might encounter problems in creating a balanced ecosystem that would allow the people, nature and machines to coexist for generations.

People tend to be faulty - as proven by the rebellious adolescents attacking their Multiservitors underground - and the same goes for the machines, while nature is the most well-balanced of the three. It would be interesting to see what led GAIA to reset what can be referred to as "Earth 2.0" for the first time.

What machines did she create? How did she imagine trees, animals and people? Did they resemble the ones encountered by Aloy?
