Horizon Zero Dawn: 10 Things A Prequel/Sequel Must Address

4. We Need A More Distinctive Gameplay Style

This one has been addressed through and through, so to sum up the issue, here's a quote from a previous article on the game:

"Just to lay it out, you've got Assassin's Creed-style climbing, the depth of a Witcher 3 side-quest, Far Cry hunting and crafting, Uncharted narrative sections with great dialogue and acting, Mass Effect dialogue wheels, Hitman: Absolution enemy path-tracking, The Division looting - it goes on and on."

And while this might be seen as a positive, others considered it one of the game's flaws. This mix allows the gamer to immediately jump into the game, but simultaneously hurts its distinctive aspects, which is why it should be tempting for the creators to introduce something new, out of the norm, which would give the game a signature feature, making it incomparable with all the other titles available on the market.

It's already very distinctive both plot-wise and graphically, but one gameplay addition would be welcome as well.
