It has now been almost eighteen months since Rockstar unleashed Red Dead Redemption 2 onto the gaming world. In that time, it has become one of the best selling and most critically acclaimed releases of all time, hooking millions of players across the globe with its beautiful and sprawling open world environment, captivating story, colourful cast of characters and vast array of in-game pursuits to while away the hours.
Much like with Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online before it, the post-game development has been exclusively aimed at Red Dead Online, to the chagrin of many clamouring for single player downloadable content that could extend the story to Mexico, back to Guarma or beyond. It continues to evolve into a more and more immersive experience, however, and will likely serve as a steady source of income for Rockstar for years to come.
Now that the dust has well and truly settled and everybody from completionists to casuals have exhausted as much of the game's 150+ hours of single player content as they wish, what has stuck in the memory? Let's find out!
Spoilers for the whole game.
