Injustice 2: 10 Characters That Should've Been Included
7. Static
Perhaps the most famous creation of the late, great Dwayne McDuffie, Static (of Static Shock fame) was one of the best things to emerge out of Milestone Media, a DC imprint created by McDuffie, Denys Cowan, Derek Dingle and Michael Davis, to build a more representative comic book medium. Static exemplified this ethos in full and, given the character's popularity, it's a wonder why he's not received more attention in recent years.
A teenage crimefighter and a regular high school student, Virgil Hawkins isn't like most other DC heroes. For starters, he's no sidekick, and he happens to have a moveset that would make even Black Lightning blush. On top of this, Virgil is also one of the DCU's most complex and riveting individuals, cementing his status as not only a kickass crimefighter, but a literary icon of '90s comic-book-dom too.
Virgil received a nod in the first Injustice's mobile tie-in, so there's clearly interest to pursue his character in video game form. I will concede that he's one of the more likely heroes to get a DLC inclusion, but it's still disappointing that he wasn't included right from the get-go.
