Injustice 2: 8 Leaks & Confirmed Details You Need To Know

Did a roster leak spoil the entire cast already? Judge for yourself.

The DC Universe is about to be torn apart again.

Injustice 2 is coming, and the buzz surrounding the game is suddenly growing bigger and bigger. With an online beta in the hands of players everywhere, it's time to sit down and take notice.

We've seen two trailers so far, coupled with a few character reveals, and the story is coming in at a trickling pace. Batman and his teammates from the last game are now left to deal with the fallout from taking down the dictatorial Superman, and on top of that, are faced with tackling newer threats far greater than a Superman-gone-rogue.

There's so much more to dig into than just the story, however. The new Gear combat system is unlike any seen in a fighting game before, whilst promises of a roster of lesser-known heroes open the floodgates for almost anybody to join, and an absolutely enormous DLC pre-order package shows that Netherrealm intends to support this game for a long time coming.

On top of that, a juicy roster leak may have predicted the entire game's list of superheroes already...

Here's everything we've seen and heard about Injustice 2 so far, from the facts to the fiction.

8. Brainiac Is The New Villain

We've heard bits and pieces of a Secret Society of villains rising from the ashes of Superman's regime, but it's starting to look more like Brainiac is going to be the true evil threat.

As one of Superman's greatest rivals, who else could make a better villain than somebody who can best Superman?

Brainiac is a super-intelligent megalomaniac alien, obsessed with knowledge. With technology far beyond human capabilities, the "Collector of Worlds" has the scientific prowess to shrink entire cities to collect and research them, typically eradicating what else remains of the planet.

In Injustice 2, he's captured Krypton's cities and obliterated it, but having heard of the Last Son of Krypton and his rule over Earth, he travels to finish the eradication of Krypton. Only now that he's arrived, he finds that Earth's history of factions and warring superheroes are just as appealing to start researching.

While there isn't any footage of the Coluan alien in gameplay yet, we've seen a screenshot of his new design. He certainly looks intimidating decked out in his new armor, which plays into the game's new Gear system (we'll get into that later). Coupled with the Secret Society rogues gallery, Brainiac will truly be a veritable threat to the world.
