Injustice 2 Reviews: 9 Critical Reactions You Need To Know
3. It Will Appeal To Both Hardcore & Casual Players
"NetherRealm has delivered a fighting game that can be enjoyed by new players and pros alike in ways that go beyond pure competition. It's a bar that every fighting game should meet, but one that has up until now seemed out of reach." - Gamespot
"The game has a huge amount to offer those who'd prefer to stick to smashing up the computer, with NetherRealm once again proving it's the best in the business at that old chestnut: content." - Eurogamer
"There is an incredible amount of content here for people that love fighting games but perhaps don’t enjoy competing against other people." - IGN
Fighting games can often be offputting to more casual players due to their implied technical nature and thetime-consuming leg-work required to get anywhere, not to mention the aggressively competitive online communities.
While Injustice 2's online play isn't likely to be casual-friendly, critics have almost universally stated that the game has so much single-player content that newbies to the series or even the genre will have plenty to work their way through solo.
Considering how many other fighting series close themselves off from the casual crowd (looking at you, Street Fighter), NetherRealm have made a noble effort by going almost totally the opposite way.
