Injustice 3: 10 Things We Want To See

8. Legacy Outfits

While the gear system was awesome in that it allowed us to have an unprecedented level of control over how our character looked, it was weak in some areas. The lack of legacy outfits is one of the ways in which the system could be improved.

The gear in Injustice 2 was designed in a way that it was impossible for NetherRealm to allow players to use legacy outfits.

Each piece of gear had to fit the general design aesthetic of the game's characters, so allowing players to look like classic Batman Beyond, for instance, was out of the question. They did introduce some movie costumes from Justice League but that was it.

Even with these Justice League costumes, some character could never look like their movie counterpart. Aquaman, for examples, was designed with the classic look in mind, not the grizzled version played by Jason Momoa.

A new system that keeps the gear based character customization from Injustice 2, but allows players to also select legacy outfits would work wonders for Injustice 3. They could even expand on what MK11 did with their character customization, allowing players to have a set costume but specific areas for player choice.
