Just Cause 3: Every Screenshot You Need To See

Just when you thought 2015 couldn't get any better.

It has to be said, 2015 is looking damn-near incredible right now. Not only have you got the return of Rocksteady to the Batman: Arkham franchise, but there's the revolutionary No Man's Sky set to complete redefine the way video game levels are built, and now entering the fray is long-dormant Avalanche Studios landing with a bang that'll echo across the entire generation. Just Cause - also known as the game that dropped jaws back in 2006 when the team debuted a gargantuan game world even the likes of Bethesda would be jealous of - is finally getting its third instalment, one that's been talked about at length on forums and podcasts for years, and one that always crops up on any Most Anticipated list in recent memory. If you're unfamiliar with the series - well, don't be, go grab JC2 right now for only a few notes - Avalanche's idea of taking the open-world GTA-style formula and injecting all manner of high-octane action-movie tropes instantly became a recipe for success. Want to use a grappling hook to latch onto a fighter jet before surfing on the back of it and parachuting into a nearby encampment, twin guns-blazing? That's only the tip of the iceberg. As any who dove into the multiplayer add-on for part two can attest to, their game engine is purpose-built to be as ludicrously enjoyable as possible, and luckily as the team are more than aware of what fans want more of, everything released for JC3 so far looks just as solid as Avalanche's track record so far.

21. Surfing Planes: The Coolest Feature Of 2015

To be fair it was the coolest feature of 2006 and 2012 as well, but really - is there anything more straight-up badass than meeting a squadron of fighter jets from atop your own with your bare hands? Solid Snake ain't got nothin' on Rico.
