Kingdom Hearts 3: 10 Major Hints For The Future Of The Franchise

2. Shibuya's Debut

Dream Drop Distance previously teased Shibuya's return, but it seems like it could be a much bigger focus for the next game in the series.

One of the highlights of that game was seeing characters like Neku interact with Sora. It was like a much more personal crossover considering they were both created by Tetsuya Nomura. At the end of the world, Sora promised the Shibuya gang that he'd meet them there one day.

With this in mind, Kingdom Hearts 3's secret ending shows Sora in a nighttime city that has the same 104 building that appeared in The World Ends With You.

This seems to be hinting that Sora will be making good on his promise and visiting Shibuya, although it could be to participate in the Reaper's Game himself, considering how he's potentially lost his way through the power of waking.

Whether or not Riku is in the same city is unclear, but Shibuya definitely plays a role in the future.
