9. Soul
The Great Before is such an interesting location, yet unfortunately, we don't spend much time there in Soul. Most of the movie takes place in New York which makes sense for the film, but it would have been nice to spend a little bit more time in the Great Before.
That's something that Kingdom Hearts could remedy. A fully explorable Great Before where you can visit places like the Hall of You, 22's Box, the Hall of Everything, and the Astral Plane would be great.
Start the level with Sora, Donald, and Goofy dying which leads to them being on the stairway to the afterlife. They then fall into the Great Before. Once in there the gang must fight abstract looking Heartless to get a second chance at life. It could even be weaved into the story with the new villain slaying the gang to establish them as a threat.
Or if the developers understandably don't want to feature the canonical deaths of Donald and Goofy they could always just fly to the Great Before on the Gummi Ship and never acknowledge that they shouldn't be able to do that. That's if the developers are cowards anyway.
