T-5. Counter Logic Gaming (2-3)
Counter Logic Gaming has a lot to prove with three lineup changes. However, Counter Logic Gaming did force some of the longest games of week one and improved as a team throughout. After losing to Velocity eSports on Day 1, they came back on Day 2 to pull out an unbelievable 71 minute victory over Team Dignitas. They followed that up with a loss to Team Coast, a minor victory over a struggling Team Curse, and a loss to Team Vulcun. Their lineup includes veteran Nientonsoh at top lane, Link in the mid lane, bigfatlp at jungle, Doublelift at AD Carry, and Chauster at support. This team as a whole is not very in sync, but they have improved throughout the week. Nientonsoh, new at professional top lane, had ups and downs throughout the week. However, despite being new to the role, Nientonsoh's performances were safe but solid. But he needs to make less mistakes in the future. Link's performance in the mid lane was also up and down, but his best performance was as Karthus against Team Dignitas, going 12/8/23. His success will be crucial for the team as they move forward. Jungler bigfatlp was solid in his performance, but, like Nientonsoh, needs to make less mistakes. His Nocturne and Jarvan IV jungle performances were below average. Doublelift has also made solid performances, but I feel that his and Chauster's chemistry will get better with time. Chauster, new to the role of support, is contributing to many kills but also making some of the most blatant mistakes of the tournament. His performance needs to become more consistent if Counter Logic Gaming wants to win more in the future. I main Thresh in Silver IV, and some of the hooks that he missed made me think to myself, "I could've hit that."
