League Of Legends North American LCS Summer Split Analysis: Week 6

T-3. Counter Logic Gaming (8-9)

CLG Logo After holding the #3 spot for many weeks now, Counter Logic Gaming has fallen to an 8-9 record and a tie for third with TSM Snapdragon and Team Dignitas. The team went 0-2 this week, losing to both Velocity eSports and Team Dignitas. Their attempt to mimic the double AD carry composition that Team Vulcun used to win over Dignitas in the first game this week fell short, although top laner Nien played awesome on the solo lane Vayne. The last two weeks, I warned CLG about falling into the rest of the pack in earlier posts. This has now happened sooner than expected, and CLG needs to keep their heads looking forward rather than fall further behind. Top lane player Nien made an underwhelming performance on Irelia against Velocity eSports (2/5/3) but followed it up with a surprisingly effective game as top lane Vayne, going 7/4/4 against Team Dignitas. Mid lane player Link had his worst week yet; he played Ezreal mid in the first game to no avail (0/3/4) and then made an uneven performance on Twisted Fate (3/6/9). They need Link to play much better than he did this week in the future. Jungler bigfatlp also put up two very uneven performances as Nunu and Nocturne. He also needs to put up more consistent games. AD carry Doublelift was the only summoner in both games to not drop below a .5 KDA. He ended his week 9/8/6, which is not a great performance by any means but was the best on his team. Support Chauster made two uneven appearances on Sona and Thresh.
