8. Velocity eSports (5-23)
Velocity eSports was officially eliminated from the playoffs the moment they lost their first game of the week. Unlike most teams fighting for their playoff lives, Velocity seemed to focus on having fun. They put on a good show, giving North America their first professional Kennen AD carry, Jayce AD carry, Ashe support, Viktor mid, Karma mid, Nidalee mid, Anivia mid, and Singed jungle of the year. Although a couple of these strategies were somewhat successful, the team still went 0-5 for week 9 with nothing solid to play for. They will be up for relegation next year, but the picks they made this week give me the desire to watch the relegation tournament with interest.
(I apologize for the brief nature of my analysis this week. I ran into a time crunch, and the individual performances would have taken hours to analyze. Thank you for reading my analyses of the North American LCS Summer Split, and I hope that you will read some of my other work in the future.)
