Madden 20: 8 Things We Already Know
4. Superstar X-Factor
Want another big gameplay change? How about growing emphasis on the difference superstar players can make to each team's performance? That's a big part of the NFL. QB leaders like Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady and Drew Brees can swing the momentum of games in their team's favour in one play, and the same goes for star runners like Saquon Barkley of the Giants or Todd Gurley of the Rams.
This year, EA are placing more importance on how these players affect overall team morale. They're calling it 'Superstar-Driven Play Calling', and it could end up being the difference between a win or loss for your side game-to-game. Sounds like another overdue add on, doesn't it?
Around 50 players will have the 'Superstar X-Factor' ability, and they'll be the ones to rely on when times are tough or your team finds itself in a hole. Another thing to note is that these abilities will be available in every mode Madden 20 has.
This will either make the game more fun or result in backlash from fans who hate overpowered players.
