Madden 20: 8 Tips To Play Like A Boss

2. Don't Over-Rely On Skill Moves

Madden players have become over-reliant on skill moves to jink their way through tough defences and gain a few more yards. The past couple of entries in the series have been unrealistic in how they've approached these RB specials. Madden 20 has fixed that, and it means even the best must be wary about fumbling the ball.

20's fumble rate is scarily high.

When running with the ball, don't mash buttons to hurdle, spin or juke for the sake of it. Hurdles are only effective at select moments with the best players, spins won't fool every AI opponent and jukes must be initiated right as that defensive player goes in for the tackle. They have to be less than a yard or so away, in other words.

Knowing when to take a hit and protect the ball, or dive forward for two yards instead of seven, is important here. That's true when going for broke in the red zone too. You can be more flexible there, but still be mindful that players have butter fingers this year.
