2. Get The Third Level Of Drift-Boost

Drifting goes with Mario Kart like the word melted does with chocolate, and although three levels of boost have been in the franchise for decades, it's worth noting that although you'll access the blue and yellow 'levels' of Turbo more frequently, there is another third stage.

It takes what feels like an over-extended amount of drifting - and only comes from specific sections of certain tracks - but keep steering into the direction you're heading in (use Soft Drift to maximise efficiency) and eventually your kart's sparks will go pink.

Release L at this point and you'll get the biggest boost in the game; one that's perfect for rocketing out of any final turn to (hopefully) steal victory out from under the competition.
