Mario Kart Wii U: 8 Tracks That Must Return

5. Mushroom City (Mario Kart Double Dash)

One of the most visually stunning tracks in the series history and another fan favourite, Mushroom City was almost hypnotic in design with multi-coloured lights illuminating the night's highway. Most of the track was straight but the challenge wasn't in any of the routes, it was in trying to avoid the cars that would obliterate you in a second. The two routes near the center of the track offered two paths, one which would open up a short-cut (which contained a double item box) and the main road. Both paths intersected after two sharp turns. Another short-cut allowed players to skip the highway part. On the very right of the gap, the players can see a very narrow road between the wall and the hole. Using a mushroom or a star, players could accelerate through the dirt covering the short-cut's path. One of the best balanced tracks for all types of racers.
