While all the aforementioned tips and tricks should go some way in making sure you get the most out of your Marvel's Spider-Man 2 experience, there is one age-old piece of advice that you should also bear in mind. (No, not the Uncle Ben one - this is different.)

Take your time.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a big game, and it's releasing a little over five years since the first title. It'll take around 22 hours to 100% complete a save (finishing the story, side-quests, upgrades, and collectibles), and it's a playtime that's best savoured rather than wolfed down in one go. Spoiler anxiety is real and it's completely understandable why some Spider-Man fans will no doubt be rushing through the story to get to the finish line - especially with all the leaks that have been doing the rounds.

Still, this is a game you want to soak in rather than blast through quickly.

Make sure you go through everything New York has to offer at your own desired tempo. Stop to bask in the atmosphere and check out side missions. As with Marvel's Spider-Man, there's a stunningly detailed open world to navigate and it's one that also evolves over the course of the story. The best way to experience that evolution is to bask in it and allow all those juicy plot details and set-piece moments to sink in.

Again, it's perfectly understandable if you want to run through Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as quickly as possible, but it deserves to be savoured and made an event out of. It takes time to make a game as rich and vibrant as this, and you don't want that experience to be over before you know it.
