Marvel's Avengers Is An Absolute Mess
The Depth Of Customisation and Loot
Marvel's Avengers is built around levelling up your character and faction reputations so you can unlock new skins, abilities, gear and finishing moves for the game. The thing is, these don't really feel like the best motivation to keep on grinding out for your character.
For instance, Iron Man has twenty five different costumes, but are they all that different?
Just one quick flick through will show that they're most just different colours for the suits with slight variations like bulkier shoulders. It would've been better to have less costumes that are actually different, more like Iron Man's Rocket Booster suit or his makeshift armour.
Any game service needs something to warrant it being a service worth coming back to, and the skins currently feel more like quantity over quality. It does also suck how some takedowns are locked behind an incredibly high amount of in-game currency, basically meaning you need to pay to get everything, which leaves you with barely any takedowns and the same repetitive animations over and over.
Gear also doesn't really feel that special or worth grinding for, and it was only recently that the developers had to tweak drop rates of missions such as the Hive quests to make them worth playing.
