1. The Conclusion
This is the end. The end of a series that defined modern RPG's on this next generation of consoles. The story, the graphics, the voice acting and the amazing scope of the entire planned trilogy was all revolutionary when it came out. There was no game quite like Mass Effect 1, and then when 2 came out it made the first look bad. Then 3 comes out and while it was a tiny bit disappointing with small squads and a bad ending, it gave us some of the best moments in the series. The reaper chase, the amazing fight with Cerberus on Sur'Kesh, romancing Liara, and the emotionally ruining scene on a devastated Thessia. Mass Effect 3 was a new kind of ground breaking in terms of emotion. Casey Hudson and the rest of the team emphasised how the game would make you feel, and I laughed it off as marketing talk. But damn, they were so right. I got so sad seeing my favourite universe destroyed and my favourite characters watching their worlds destroyed. It's surprisingly affecting to see this sort of stuff, it's rare to see this kind of material from a video game. It's rare to see it from anything, really. Mass Effect 3 represents the end of the this revolutionary trilogy, that will be remembered as "The Star Wars of our generation." So there's just 10 reason we're still hooked on Shepard's (hopefully) last outing. Although a new game was recently announced, it is not a continuation of the existing story (or so they say), so it's likely we will see new events from a new perspective. In the mean time, though, we'll just keep playing through the original three to satisfy our need. What did you think of Mass Effect 3? Some loved it, some said it was glitchy and full of plot holes? Let us know. And please Bioware, Frostbite 2 for the next game please?
