Mass Effect 4: 10 Killer E3 Announcements BioWare Must Make
10. Unchanged Gameplay
Though the games developers - BioWare - are a comparatively talkative bunch, we still know worryingly little about the tentatively-titled Mass Effect 4. Though it would be awesome for them to make any one of the announcements listed here, it would also be nice first to have confirmation that the game will still employ the same shooter-RPG hybrid gameplay that fans of the series have been salivating over since 2007. Worryingly for Mass Effect fans, BioWare have demonstrated in the past that they arent opposed to a break with tradition. Star Wars: The Old Republic, the sequel to their classic 2003 Star Wars title Knights of the Old Republic, changed the format radically by switching from a single player experience to become a MMORPG. Though the game was far from poor, many were disappointed that it had deviated from the original so much. Could the Mass Effect franchise be given the same treatment? There are now even rumours circulating that this next Shepard-less title could be a real-time strategy game following in the footsteps of Halo Wars... confirmation that the gameplay will remain largely unchanged would be a stomach-settling E3 announcement.
